Last time I travelled through South East Asia, I wanted to pack as lightly as possible and thus only brought my mobile phone with me. Something I deeply regretted at times, especially when a simple walk down the streets ticks so many of my boxes. The flaky paints, the highly detailed temples, the massive trees that grows so neatly between the paving stones that you think they have been entvined for ever.

It is all the incarnation of the saying ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’

This time around I did 'sacrifise' some of the limited backpack space to bring my good old DSLR (we must be fast approaching our 10 year anniversary at this stage!) to be able to capture all the beauty. I am glad I did.

Above are some of my favourite shots from the week I spent in Chiang Mai. I am currently working on a vegan food guide for the city too -- I did have some ace meals and I can't wait to share it with the world.
